Dinghy Thingy Regatta for Sailing Camp Graduates
SISO's 2024 sailing camps are well underway, and we have graduated a great crop of new youth sailors. Many of them - even in our beginner classes - got an opportunity to "taste" the excitement of sailboat racing. SISO, in cooperation with our sister organization - Southern Idaho Sailing Outreach (SISA) - is offering the opportunity for participation in a real regatta. This regatta is for dinghies only (15' or smaller) and will take place at Spring Shores Marina, Lucky Peak Reservoir on Saturday, July 20th. All intermediate and racing camp graduates are invited to attend (we even provide the boats!). More information can be found HERE and registration for the event is HERE. Summer 2024 Youth Sailing Camps
Registration for Summer 2024 Youth Sailing Camps opens April 1, 7:00 am for Boise residents, and April 3, 7:00 am for non-residents. Click here for Registration; enter "Sail" in the Keyword Search.
Classes are dependent upon adequate water levels, and we have been notified that the Corps of Engineers plans to start a drawdown on the third week in July for work on the Turner Gulch boat ramp. We recommend registering for early camps this year.
